Terms of Service

Last updated · 2026-06-03

These terms cover your use of Vettd. They're written in plain English. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service.

1. About Vettd

Vettd (“we,” “us,” the “Service”) is two scanners in one product:

  • Site Scan — analyses publicly available web pages for security, SEO, performance, legal, conversion, reliability, AEO, and completeness issues.
  • Code Review — analyses pushes to repositories you connect via our GitHub App for bugs, security flaws, and dependency vulnerabilities.

Add-ons include the one-time Fix Pack (auto-generated copy-paste fixes for a scan) and Watch subscriptions (recurring monitoring of one or more projects).

2. Who you're contracting with

Vettd is operated by Satak Technologies, an India-based firm (“Satak Technologies,” “we,” “us”). All references to “Vettd” in these terms mean services provided by Satak Technologies. You can reach us at hello@shipvettd.com.

3. Accounts & eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use Vettd.
  • You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe. Don't share account access — each user gets their own free account.
  • The information you give us (email, name, billing details) must be accurate and up to date.
  • You can sign up and run anonymous Site Scans without an account. Some features (Fix Pack, Watch, saved scans, Code Review) require one.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Vettd to:

  • Scan a website you don't own or have explicit permission to scan.
  • Connect a repository you don't own or have explicit permission to read.
  • Attack, probe for unauthorised vulnerabilities, or attempt to harm any third party.
  • Reverse-engineer the Service, our scoring, our rule definitions, or attempt to extract our prompts.
  • Scrape, mass-download, or resell scan results, fixes, or any other Vettd output.
  • Bypass rate limits, share account credentials, or use multiple accounts to evade plan limits.
  • Submit content that is illegal, infringing, malicious (malware, phishing pages), or violates anyone's privacy.
  • Interfere with our infrastructure or other customers' use of the Service.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

5. Plans, billing & auto-renewal

Site Scan is free, forever, no signup required. Code Review on public repositories is also free. Paid plans are described on our pricing page.

  • Fix Pack ($5, one-time) — single charge, no recurring billing. Once delivered, the service is considered fully rendered (refund terms in our Refunds & Cancellations policy).
  • Watch (monthly) — auto-renews on the same date each month until you cancel. We'll attempt to charge your saved payment method automatically. If a charge fails, we'll notify you and retry; if it keeps failing, we may downgrade or pause your account.
  • Watch (annual) — billed once a year, auto-renews on the anniversary. Same retry behaviour applies.
  • You can cancel anytime from your dashboard. Cancellation stops future renewals — it doesn't refund the current period unless our Refunds policy says otherwise.
  • Prices may change. We'll notify active subscribers by email at least 30 days before a price change takes effect on their next renewal.
  • You're responsible for any taxes (GST, VAT, sales tax) that apply to your jurisdiction. Where required, our payment partners collect these on our behalf.

6. AI-generated content

Vettd uses large-language models for several features: legal-page analysis, headline grading, suggested fixes, and code-review explanations. Important things to know:

  • AI output can be wrong. Suggested fixes, generated copy, and code recommendations are starting points, not finished work. Always review and test before deploying to production.
  • We don't guarantee that following an AI-generated recommendation will improve your scores, fix the underlying issue, or be free from defects.
  • We don't treat our AI output as legal, security, financial, or medical advice. If your situation needs that, talk to a qualified professional.
  • Our scans are heuristic. A passing score doesn't mean your site is secure or compliant; a failing one doesn't mean it's broken.

7. Your content & intellectual property

  • You keep your content. Your websites, code, data, and account contributions remain yours.
  • You grant us a licence to process it only for the purpose of running the Service for you (scanning, generating fixes, displaying results). This licence ends when you delete the relevant content or your account.
  • We keep our IP. The Vettd platform, scanners, scoring system, rule definitions, prompts, fix templates, brand, and the look-and-feel of the Service are ours.
  • Generated fixes & reports — once we deliver a Fix Pack to you, you can use the generated artifacts (snippets, files, copy) freely in your own projects, including commercial ones. You can't resell them as a standalone product.

8. GitHub App access (Code Review)

When you install the Vettd GitHub App on a repository, you grant us read access to that repository's code, metadata, and webhook events for the duration of the installation. We use this access only to scan pushes and post review results back to GitHub. You can revoke access at any time by uninstalling the App from GitHub. Once revoked, we stop receiving new events; existing scan results in your dashboard remain unless you delete them.

9. Public scan reports

Anonymous Site Scans are public by default and may be indexed by search engines. If you don't want your scan public, sign in and run the scan from your account, or email privacy@shipvettd.com to remove a specific scan from the public index. Code Review results are always private.

If you believe a public scan report infringes your rights or contains content that shouldn't be there, send a takedown notice to legal@shipvettd.com with the URL, the issue, and proof of ownership.

10. Service availability & changes

We work hard to keep Vettd up, but we don't offer a formal uptime SLA. Scans depend on third-party services (Supabase, Railway, Straico, GitHub) that may experience outages outside our control. Planned maintenance and unplanned downtime may happen.

We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. If we discontinue a paid feature you've already paid for, we'll prorate a refund or offer a comparable alternative.

11. Suspension & termination

  • You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard. Data deletion follows the timelines in our Privacy Policy.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, abuse the Service, initiate a chargeback against a valid charge, or if we're required to by law.
  • On termination, you lose access to the dashboard, paid features, and saved scans (subject to legal retention periods for things like payment records).
  • Sections that should reasonably survive termination (IP ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, governing law) do.

12. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ₹5,000 (Indian Rupees five thousand). We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — even if we've been advised such damages are possible.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, in which case they apply only to the extent permitted there.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify Satak Technologies and its principals against any third-party claim or liability arising from: (a) your violation of these terms, (b) your violation of someone's rights (privacy, IP, etc.) through your use of the Service, or (c) your scanning of a website or repository without proper authorisation.

14. Governing law & dispute resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that can't be resolved by good-faith discussion will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Delhi, India. Before filing anything, please email legal@shipvettd.com with the issue — most things can be sorted out directly and faster than litigation.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes (price changes, scope of service, dispute resolution), we'll update the “Last updated” date and, where required, notify active accounts by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

16. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement — these terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refunds policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
  • Severability — if any clause is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver — if we don't enforce a clause once, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later.
  • Assignment — you may not assign these terms without our written consent. We may assign them to a successor entity (e.g. if Satak Technologies reorganises or sells the Vettd business).
  • Force majeure — we're not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control (internet outages, cloud-provider failures, government action, natural disasters).
  • Notices — we'll contact you at the email on your account; you can contact us at hello@shipvettd.com.
